HMS Pinafore ist der Name einer von Gilbert und Sullivan komponierten irdischen Operette des 19. Jahrhunderts, welche unter anderem das Lied A British Tar im ersten Akt enthält.
Diese Operette wird 2375 von Lieutenant Commander Data für eine Aufführung an Bord der USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-E) einstudiert, kurz bevor er zum Briar Patch beordert wird. (Star Trek: Der Aufstand)
